A thousand years of paper. One lamp.
The andon — 灯 — has lit Japanese interiors since the Edo period. Craftsmen stretched washi across bamboo frames to soften candlelight into something liveable. The wire tripod, the rice paper shade, the oval windows that let the light press through in deliberate shapes — Kiri carries all of it forward. Not as a replica. As a lamp that understands where it comes from.
Celadon glaze was lost for three centuries. Potters spent lifetimes trying to recover it. You just found it.

Kiri uses an E27 bulb which is included. We recommend a warm white LED at 2700K for the most authentic glow. The lamp is also compatible with dimmable bulbs and E27 smart bulbs such as Philips Hue or IKEA Tradfri for app-controlled brightness.
Yes — at checkout you can choose between a three-colour bulb that switches between warm white, neutral & cool white or a dimmable remote-controlled bulb. All options use the E27 fitting.
Kiri arrives flat-packed in a compact 31×31×7cm box. Assembly takes under two minutes with no tools required — the iron tripod base clicks into position and the rice paper shade sits over it. Everything you need is in the box.
Kiri is designed for ambient lighting rather than task lighting. It creates a warm atmospheric glow suited to living rooms, bedrooms, bedside tables, studies, and home décor settings. For a reading or desk light, we recommend pairing it with a directional lamp.
The Washi and Wabi variants come in the larger format — 47cm tall by 28cm wide. All other colourways are 43cm tall by 26cm wide. Both sizes are suitable for bedside tables and sideboards. The larger variants also work well placed directly on the floor in a corner.
Dust the rice paper shade gently with a dry cloth only. Do not use water, cleaning sprays, or any liquid products on the shade. Keep the lamp away from direct moisture. The iron tripod base can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth if needed.
