Staggered cream bands break up the black shade like brickwork, turning the familiar egg silhouette into something closer to graphic art. It holds its own in monochrome rooms and darker schemes.

Switched on, Sumi turns into stripes of light: the cream bands glow while the black holds back. It gives a room contrast where another neutral lamp would simply blend in.

Ink on paper.
