Product guide

01 · Form

Black and cream, block by block.

Staggered cream bands break up the black shade like brickwork, turning the familiar egg silhouette into something closer to graphic art. It holds its own in monochrome rooms and darker schemes.

02 · Mood

Contrast, lit in stripes.

Switched on, Sumi turns into stripes of light: the cream bands glow while the black holds back. It gives a room contrast where another neutral lamp would simply blend in.

03 · Material

Ink on paper.

The black rice paper has a ribbed, fibrous surface that catches light at every edge, while the cream bands shine warm against it. The iron tripod below keeps the base as graphic as the shade.
