The clock you’ll catch yourself watching just to see it flip
Most clocks disappear until you need them. This one gives you a reason to keep looking. Big white numbers sit on black cards inside a polished chrome frame, and as each minute passes, the next card drops into place. No screen, no glow, no notifications.
Here are 5 reasons it deserves a spot on your shelf.

Every minute flips. On the hour, the whole thing turns over.
Each minute, one card lets go and the next number drops into place. Then at the top of the hour, the hours and minutes turn together. You’ll catch yourself standing in front of it at :59 just to watch it happen.
- Real moving cards, not a screen pretending to be one
- Big white numbers on black you can read from across the room

Everyone who comes round asks about it
It’s the kind of thing people stop in front of. Friends ask where it’s from, clients ask about it on your desk, and it’s the first thing people notice behind you on a video call. It does the talking for the shelf.
- A feature piece, not another thing on the shelf
- Polished chrome that catches the light from every side

The station departure board, shrunk for your desk
Flip displays clattered on British station and airport boards from the 1960s, and flip clocks sat on bedside tables through the 70s. If you remember them, this brings it straight back. If you don’t, it’s the most satisfying bit of retro you can put on a shelf.
Check the time without picking up your phone
Glance at your phone for the time and half an hour later you’re still scrolling. This gives you the time and nothing else to get pulled into. No notifications, no glowing screen, no app.

The piece that finishes the room
Next to a record player, under a glass lamp, on a sideboard that felt a bit empty. It runs on a battery, so it goes where it looks best, not where the socket is. Stand it on the Wobbly Chrome Tray and the chrome doubles up, reflecting the clock from underneath. It turns a nice clock into a finished display.
- Desks, shelves and sideboards, about 20 × 16.5cm

Loved in real homes
4.7 out of 5 from 139 reviews
“I have a bit of a clock fetish, if you have one too you’ll like this clock or if you know someone who does. I have all types of clocks and watches both old and new and this was a nice addition. Classic old looks in a new modern design. Large easy to read numbers and you even get a little click every minute when it changes.”
“I got the clock for my dad, just turned 80!, he loved it. The industrial style, easy to read display were big pluses.”
“Fun, retro clock to display anywhere. Keeps accurate time and is easy to read from across the room. Great value for the price.”
“A change from a wall clock, visitors always stare at it waiting for it to change 😃”
“I have this on a bookshelf in my clinic and patients are always commenting on how cool it is.”

Good to know, before you buy
The honest bits, so nothing surprises you when it arrives.
- You’ll hear it. A soft click as each minute turns over, and a bigger flip on the hour. Lovely on a desk or shelf; light sleepers may prefer it out of the bedroom.
- It takes one D battery, not included. One battery runs it for months, so grab one with your shopping.
- Let it turn its own cards. The cards are light so they can flip, so dust it gently and set the time with the dial, not your fingers.
- Anything loose or damaged when it arrives? Message us and we’ll sort it. You also have 60 days to return it.
- It’s mechanical, not a smart clock. It can drift by a minute or so over a couple of months, and a quick turn of the dial puts it right.

Questions, answered
How long does delivery take?
Delivery to Spain takes 4 to 9 days from dispatch. It’s €4.99, or free on orders over €60. Orders are processed in 1 to 2 working days and tracked from dispatch.
Does it need plugging in?
No. It runs on one D battery (not included), so there’s no cable and you can put it anywhere indoors.
Is it noisy?
You’ll hear a soft click each minute and a slightly bigger flip on the hour. Most people find it part of the charm on a desk or shelf; if you’re a light sleeper, it’s better outside the bedroom.
Does it keep good time?
Yes, for a mechanical clock. It can drift by around a minute over a couple of months, and a quick turn of the dial puts it right.
Is it hard to set up?
No assembly needed. Put the battery in, set the time and place it on a stable surface.
How big is it?
About 20cm wide and 16.5cm high, so it fits on most desks, shelves and sideboards.
